With Turbo Roaming™ to give under-100 ms handoffs, redundant power inputs, and models that operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75°C, the AWK-1121 promises high reliability and availability for wireless communications. Further, it is packaged in an extra slim casing rated IP30, making the series a sturdy, natural fit for any industrial application with limited space.

The AWK-1121 features a rugged design for any harsh industrial environment, with standard models staying operable in temperatures ranging from 0° to 60°C and extended temperature models that keep working from -40° up to 75°C. In addition, the WLAN client may be mounted either by DIN rail or on walls, with dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for PoE models, and an IP30 case with LED indicators. Further, this physically rugged design is also compact and light.

The AWK-1121 WLAN client provides all key wireless benefits such as mobility, flexibility, wider coverage, and economic savings, and is specifically designed for hard-to-wire, tightly spaced applications. Roaming handoffs for the WLAN client are benchmarked at an unprecedented 100 ms or less, making it so fast that connectivity gaps are effectively eliminated for latency-sensitive applications such as automatic guided vehicles (AGV) in factory automation systems, or like those often found in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). It is also extremely simple to set up and secure with WEP/WPA/WPA2/802.11X and powerful custom filters.
