The “WoS” Design Board includes an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a humidity sensor, a microphone, a pressure sensor, a proximity sensor, and a temperature sensor and is aimed at developing products that may require several types of sensing solutions within the same design.
The development platform uses Zilog’s series of Mini-Z stamp modules and provides customers with a simple-to-use platform to develop prototypes and projects incorporating multiple sensors.
The “WoS” Design Board ships complete with a serial LCD display and USB serial communication – serial cables are not required. Offering multiple types of built-in wireless support and engineered to capitalize on the advanced functionality of Zilog’s series of Mini-Z modules, the Board showcases the interaction of these sensors – independent of the module being used – and enables even more creative projects by simply swapping out modules. The new “WoS” Board is designed to work best with Zilog’s series of Mini-Z modules.
“Zilog, as a part of IXYS, maintains a continuing commitment to supporting our customers with devices that have long product life cycles, especially in power management, where IXYS has been growing worldwide. With the growth of digital power management in energy-efficient products for clean energy generation, automation, appliances, automotive, lighting and telecommunication, we believe that also offering these Mini-Z platforms and Reference Designs allows us to accelerate the adoption of our MCU solutions in these markets,” said Steve Darrough, Zilog’s VP of Marketing. “The World of IXYS, especially for our customers, now includes power semiconductors, analog ICs, Mixed-Signal ICs, SSRs, MCUs and RF devices to complete a synergy of system design possibilities like no other semiconductor company.”
Zilog’s Mini-Z Stamps and Boards are now available for customers directly from the online Zilog Store at www.zilog.com.
