The magnetic flux, induced by the primary current, is compensated by a secondary current, which is exactly proportional to the primary current.

The DS200 converts currents up to 200 A with a ratio of 1:500, the DS600 can be used up to 600 A and has a ratio of 1:1,500. The intrinsic error of both types is less than 0.5 ppm of full scale. The current sensors work from DC up to frequencies of 100 kHz with a flat frequency response. The ruggedized aluminium housing guarantees optimal shielding against external noise. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to +85 °C. The output connection is realized with  LEMO, BNC, or DSUB connectors.
