Bosch mobility boss steps down
Harald Kroeger to leave the board of management of Robert Bosch, with Dr. Markus Heyn, chairman of the Mobility Solutions business, taking over.

The board of Robert Bosch is to see a shakeup as the head of the mobility business step down.

Harald Kroeger (54, above), the board of management member responsible for systems integration in the Mobility Solutions business sector, is to leave immediately at his own request. He will be replaced by Dr. Markus Heyn (57), member of the board of management of Robert Bosch, from January 1st. Heyn is also taking over as chairman of the Mobility Solutions business sector.

Kroeger was responsible for a large part of the Bosch electronics business, with the Cross Domain Computing Solutions, Chassis Systems Control, Automotive Electronics, Bosch eBike Systems, and Automotive Steering divisions, as well as the Two Wheeler & Powersports business unit.

Heyn’s move to chair the Mobility Solutions was announced in June as part of a major restructuring of the Bosch board.

“Harald Kroeger was the driving force behind many developments of future importance, such as the setup of the pioneering Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division and the expansion of our semiconductor business. He set a successful course for the business operations for which he was responsible, even in challenging market conditions,” said Volkmar Denner, retiring chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH and a limited partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand as well as CTO and CEO of Bosch Healthcare.

“We regret Harald Kroeger’s decision and wish him all the very best for the future. His very inspirational leadership combined with his unique ability to promote the right people earned him a lot of esteem among his associates,” said Franz Fehrenbach, retiring chairman of the supervisory Robert Bosch.
