Numerous processes with a vehicle are controlled by electronic devices. Eberspaecher’s FlexConfig RBS software allows users to simulate the ECU environment completely by means of a so-called restbus simulation (RBS). In order to enable designers to examine and evaluate the operability such an ECU already during the design phase, Eberspaecher has fundamentally reworked and updated. New functions such as Gateway and Signal Manipulation have been added.

The new software version significantly simplifies the test of ECUs in the vehicle as well as during the HiL phase (hardware-in-the-loop), says Eberspaecher. Besides automatic and manual configuration options of the gateway, designers can add user-specific modifications. In combination with the FlexXCon midget hardware, the RBS, Gateway and Signal Manipulation functions can be used in real-time.

At the IAA, Eberspaecher also will show a new version of its Caromee software. Thanks to features such as simple data evaluation and numerous interfaces, this software performs a very lucid analysis of in-car data networks. The new version gives users the option to define their own algorithms for the evaluation of complex signal data packets.
