MicroEJ has launched the first software platform to build connected things (IoT) for the Smart Home and industrial settings using the Matter protocol.
The launch at CES 2022 in Las Vegas this week is basd on MicroEJ’s patented Virtual Container technology (VEE), similar to Android, but designed for low-cost and low-power chips used in IoT edge wireless devices from small Cloud-connected sensors and smartwatches to satellites or datacentres.
The VEE’s standard virtual containers cut in half the design and time-to-market of industrial and consumer electronics devices, and supports all the major ARM chip providers, citing MediaTek, NXP, Qualcomm, Sony and ST Microelectronics.
