Low-cost 10-W and 20-W encapsulated AC/DC converters target medical applications
The AMEL10-MAZ (10 W) and AMEL20-MAZ (20 W) feature an input/output isolation of 4000 VAC within an operating temperature range of -40 to +80 °C and excellent technical parameters.
With universal inputs of 90~264 VAC at 47~440 Hz or 120~370 VDC, these power supplies feature highly regulated, protected, isolated single and asymmetric dual outputs ranging from 3.3 to 24 VDC. Low ripple and noise of < 75 mVpp with line and load regulation of ±1 % and ±2 % respectively, (no minimum load required), support a wide range of applications, including industrial control devices, test and measurement equipment, telecommunications applications and consumer electronics products. No-load power consumption less than 0.5 W, and efficiency rates up to 82 % meet or exceed the requirements for Energy Star EPS v2.0.
With safety approvals cULus as well as CB and CE marks, the AMEL10-MAZ and AMEL20-MAZ meet the safety standards of EN60601-1-2, EN55011 class B, IEC/EN 61000-3-2, -3-2, and IEC 61000-4-2, -4-1, -4-5, -4-6, -4-8, -4-11, for easy integration in a wide range of controlled, non-life support medical and dental devices, instruments, and equipment applications.
