LynxSecure has been ported to NXP’s QorIQ T2080 multicore communications processor, the first NXP-based power architecture to support the Lynx MOSA.ic framework. The software publisher also plans to support FreeRTOS for the Arm v8 architecture on LynxSecure. LynxSecure has already been ported to the NXP QorIQ Layerscape 1046A and the NXP S32V234 MPSoCs. Overall this means broad support for processor architectures and operating systems within the Lynx MOSA.ic framework.

“Our legacy of thirty years of enabling customers in aerospace and defense to create, certify and deploy mission-critical platforms is now increasingly being applied to other markets and applications. These include automotive electronics, industrial robotics, and IIoT infrastructure,” said Ian Ferguson, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Lynx. “These markets share the same stringent performance, safety and security requirements but use different combinations of processor and operating system technology. Our aim is to take full advantage of a straightforward ‘secure by design’ software system architecture in addition to the features and capabilities of the processor and operating system of choice.
