Moxa is to launch an all-in-one secure router to protect industrial networks at the SPS show in Germany next month.

The EDR-G9010 Series firewall/NAT/VPN/switch/router provides security for smart manufacturing and critical infrastructure such as power substations, intelligent transportation systems and oil and gas sites.

With more and more cybersecurity incidents occurring in operational technology (OT) systems, there is a key focus on both security and keeping operations functioning smoothly. Thee router has eight ports for TX GbE and two for fibre-based SFP GbE as well as comprehensive redundancy mechanisms, including Turbo Ring and VRRP and the options of a wide operating temperature of -40 to 75°C.

Within one field site, the EDR-G9010 Series industrial secure routers can help build a security boundary by segmenting OT and IT networks and feature advanced DPI technology to give users more granular control over network traffic by filtering industrial protocols based on the requirements of the application.
