Shell case in desk form

Shell case in desk form
Fischer Elektronik has developed a shell case in desk form whose dimensions are freely selectable. The case consists of two bent aluminium shells 2mm thick, allowing the housing of PCBs of different size, from standard to non-standard form factors.

The PCBs are mounted via permanently integrated sockets which position and height are freely selectable too. The two case parts are assembled through a screw connection in the internal strap with press-fit connectors.

The new SGV desk console offers users the possibility to install PCBs with front mounting as well as with back mounting, with connectors accessible from the outside (D-Sub, USB, power plug). The lower detached surface offers space for switches or a logo while the bigger upper surface is well suited for foil keypads or a display.

Designs with ventilations slots allow the use of power electronics. All size variants of the SGV desk console are available in three different surface designs as a standard (natural colour anodized, black anodized or transparent passivated). Additional mechanical processing, surface treatments and labels can be offered according to customer’s specifications.
