Based on the latest Intel Xeon E3 Processor, the AMC725 provides PCIe Gen3 x4 or x8 connectivity to the backplane and dual 10GbE to the front-panel via SFP+.
“VadaTech continues to roll out new product for the physics community and other users of µTCA.4,” said Saeed Karamooz, founder and CEO of VadaTech. “This unit makes good use of the space available on this double-width form factor, providing a very capable controller/host and complementing our growing VT81x range of µTCA.4 chassis.”
The AMC725 provides on-board graphics via front-panel for ease of use and set-up. Other front-panel connectivity includes dual 10GbE, dual GbE and dual USB. The module comes with optional on-board dual SSD RAID, while PCIE x8, dual SATA and USB are routed to the rear for expansion by RTM.
The module follows the AMC.2 and the AMC.3 specifications and provides PCIe on ports 4-7 (AMC.1) and 10GbE on ports 8-11 per AMC.2, dual GbE on ports 0 and 1 per AMC.2, and SATA on ports 2 and 3 per AMC.3. It also provides dual GbE to the front.
The AMC723 has option for up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory with ECC and allows for up to 32 GB of Flash for OS. The AMC723 has serial over LAN with hardware Random Number Generator (RNG) as seed generator for authentication. The BIOS allows booting from on board NAND, off board SATA, PXE boot as well as USB.
