Zynq UltraScale+ based FPGA prototyping platforms for SoC and IP
PRO DESIGN has introduced three new proFPGA Zynq UltraScale+ FPGA modules to allow developers to quickly design and verify SoC and IP designs.

The proFPGA range is a scalable, multiple-FPGA solution for ASIC prototyping. For scalabilty, the ProFPGA Zynq UltraScale+ ZU11EG, ZU17EG and ZU19EG FPGA modules can be mounted on a motherboard to work with each other or mixed with other proFPGA modules based on the Virtex-7, Virtex UltraScale, Virtex UltraScale+ or Kintex UltraScale FPGAs. The new proFPGA Zynq UltraScale+ FPGA modules are intended for developers who need a complete platform for SoC prototyping, IP verification or software development.

proFPGA Zynq UltraScale+ modules feature Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ ZU11EG, ZU17EG or ZU19EG FPGAs which include two ARM multi-core processors (Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 and Dual-core ARM Cortex-R5), FPGA fabric and peripherals, such as USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA and DisplayPort. The modules add DDR4 SODIMM RAM and single quad SPI flash.

As nearly all embedded designs use ARM processors, the new modules allow developers to use the cores integrated on the FPGA with verified interfaces and memory, rather than implementing the processors in software on the FPGA fabric. The FPGAs also have a direct ARM debug interface that allows developers to use ARM debug environments

The proFPGA ZynqTM UltraScale+ modules have up to 5 extension sites with 531 standard I/Os and 16 multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs) for expansion and connectivity. The platform includes proFPGA Builder software, which provides advanced clock management, integrated self- and performance tests, automatic board detection, I/O voltage programming, system scan and remote system configuration.
