Nantero: Memory: The Next Big Opportunity for Differentiated Mobile Devices

April 05, 2018 // By Ed Dollar
This paper explains how NRAM – based on Nantero’s carbon nanotube technology (CNT) – is suitable as a storage class memory, to sit between DRAM and NAND flash in a mobile device architecture. It will discuss the value proposition of storage class memory in battery-based applications such as mobile. It also discusses the potential and challenge of SCM being fast enough to service the DDR interface to a CPU and the challenge for any new technology to be lower cost than NAND right out of the gate.
