The TacHammer Developer Kit was designed to augment your project with next generation haptic effects. The kit contains two new “Carlton” haptic actuators - the world’s first modularly designed haptics. Developers can fine-tune the sharpness of clicks, jolts and customize operating frequencies, response time, power and efficiency. TacHammer is a new class of Linear Magnetic Ram (LMR) haptic actuators based on a balanced magnetic array and impact mechanism design. It provides high fidelity haptic feedback across a broad frequency range and is the only haptics actuator on the market that offers 3-modes of tactile feedback. An open developer API provides individual control of haptic pulses, taps, clicks, sharp jolts and even vibrations from the same unit. Included in the kit are components for adjusting hammer travel distance and impact materials, as well as mounting clips for prototyping, Arduino micro and DRV2605 breakout board.
