This month, Finnish sports watch expert Suunto is giving away 10 Movesense Developer Kits 2.0, worth 99 Euros each, for eeNews Europe's readers to win.

The kit was designed to evaluate the lightweight and small (only 10g, 36.6mm) waterproof Movesense motion sensor for health and sports monitoring applications. The Movesense HR+ sensor integrates an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, a heart rate and ECG monitor, a temperature sensor and logging memory. It can process the measured signals locally and connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy. An open API lets you develop unique in-device apps for all kinds of use cases for motion sensing and physiology. Also included in the kit are an adjustable wrist band, a clothing clip for fastening the sensor to a belt or a pocket, and a surface mount to lock the sensor onto any hard surface. The surface mount has a unique embedded 1-wire ID chip that is readable through the sensor as it is plugged-in. The sensor has memory for your own applications and can be custom-branded, making it an ideal platform for your own wearable device development.
