
Nichia opens Innovation Centre for next generation LED lighting
LED manufacturer Nichia has opened an Automotive Innovation Centre in Aachen, Germany for next generation lighting.
The Nichia Automotive Innovation Centre is developing lighting technologies for road safety, visual comfort and energy efficiency, as well as enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of vehicles by using and combining LED lighting technologies.
The centre works with the R&D team at Nichia’s headquarters in Japan and industry partners to accelerate the development of technology breakthroughs and achieve quicker market entry. It has a wide array of laboratory tools for testing, modelling, monitoring, analysis, and rapid prototyping, among others.
