Rupert Baines, formerly CEO of Quantum Power Transformation Ltd. (Cambridge, England), has left the company to pursue “other business interests.”
Baines, an industry veteran had previously served as CEO of UltraSoC and as CMO of Codasip, and joined QPT as CEO on April 1, 2024.
Since its formation in 2019 QPT has focused on the development of GaN-based motor drives and inverters.
The Business Weekly newspaper, which covers Cambridge, quoted Baines saying: “I have had a fascinating time as CEO successfully bringing the message of this technology to industry leaders. Potential customers and partners are all aligned now so my skillset of finding the right connections is no longer required and I have decided to move on to other business interests.”
