
Silicon Labs sponsors Matter design challenge

Silicon Labs is teaming with Mouser and Arduino on a design challenge based around the Matter protocol.
The Matter Challenge is open to all skill levels and aims to inspire the Silicon Labs community and beyond by creating projects with the Arduino Nano Matter Board through distributor Mouser. The challenge opens today for countries in Europe and the US and closes on October 31st.
Prizes include a $500 USD Mouser e-gift card, training courses and Bose headphones. Entries can be in any format as long as the content is original and submitted as a project on the Silicon Labs community. It also needs a write-up of a minimum 150 words and videos are also accepted as a link within a project with a brief written description of what the project is.
The winner will be announced on November 7, 2024 and will be contacted by the Silicon Labs team.
Our judging panel consists of esteemed members from Silicon Labs, Arduino, and Mouser. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, ensuring that each project is evaluated fairly and comprehensively. We’re excited to see the variety of innovative solutions you bring to the table!
There is a video tutorial on getting started developing Matter over Thread applications on the new Arduino Nano Matter board with Silicon Labs multi-protocol EFR32MG24 microcontroller. This Quick Start video steps through configuring support for the board in the Arduino IDE, shows how to create, commission and run the Matter Dimmable Light Example.
Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to participate in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada (excluding Quebec), Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, India, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States of America. However government employees are not eligible.
