Bitsensing, NXP partner for radar across multiple industries
Radar startup Bitsensing Inc. (Seoul, South Korea) has formed a partnership with NXP Semiconductors to offer radar for multiple sectors including automotive, smart cities, healthcare, robotics and others.
The collaboration is intended to combine NXP radar chipsets with Bitsensing’s radar sensors and software. Lead customers have already started evaluation with pre-developed samples based on NXP’s SAF85xx automotive radar family.
Bitsensing said it will also collaborate with NXP on radar systems customized for smart city traffic monitoring, for healthcare radar for sleep monitoring and for robotics applications.
“This collaboration with NXP allows us to offer a truly scalable radar solution, which will be a game-changer across all the industries we collectively serve,” said Jae-Eun Lee, CEO of Bitsensing, in a statement.
The solutions developed using NXP chipsets for 4D imaging radar, front radar and corner radar on automobiles are sampling. The solutions address Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV) as well as smart city traffic monitoring radar and sleep monitoring applications.
