Munich startups partner on AI to boost EDA

Celus GmbH and TDK Management Services GmbH, which trades as Mitai, have announced a partnership to use AI to improve PCB design.
Celus uses AI to capture PCB architecture, schematics and BOM while Mitai, a spin-off from TDK, uses AI to help solve electromagnetic compatability (EMC) issues at the PCB design level to help simplify EMC testing.
The two companies said their skills are complementary while their audience is the same so they plan to host online seminars and events together.
Celus was founded in 2018 by Tobias Pohl (CEO), Alexander Pohl (CTO) and André Alcalde (director of strategic development). The company has over 70 employees and has raised more than €28 million to date (see Celus raises €25 million for AI automation of PCB design).
Mitai was founded in Munich by the Japanese corporation TDK in 2022.
