With twice the floor space of premises Pulse Electronics currently rents in St. Neots, the increased area also makes possible the addition of an anechoic chamber for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing at a later date; to complement the environmental qualification testing already conducted on site.

Chris Austin, Pulse Electronics’ Managing Director, comments: “To date, we’ve always rented office space and production areas but with our healthy forward-orders book, which includes contracts extending well beyond 2018, and our plans for expanding our capabilities and services, the timing seems perfect to invest.”

The company will also be adding a EMC testing facility which will benefit Pulse Electronics as well as its parent company, Ipeco Holdings.

Investing in premises is not the only sign of expansion though. Pulse Electronics, which currently employs 45 people, has plans to introduce an apprentice training scheme.
