Dialog launches partner programme for its open industrial IoT edge server
The SmartServer IoT Partner Ecosystem for smart buildings and factories uses LONworks, BACnet or Modbus

Dialog Semiconductor has launched a partner programme for the open IoT server technology it acquired with Adesto Technologies.

The SmartServer IoT has modular interfaces for industrial communications protocols such as LonWorks technology, BACnet, and Modbus, and an IP network and data abstraction layer. The system eliminates the requirement to integrate protocol stacks and abstract the data from a variety of device types.

The partner programme gives system integrators and OEMs access to the edge server, based on an 800MHz ARM Cortex A9 processor running Linux, along with an open software suite with freely available integration tools and APIs, certified training, and support. This supports up to 1,000 total devices with 20,000 datapoints.

The aim is to accelerate secure, scalable integration of IoT edge devices and networks with cloud analytics platforms and Operational Technologies (OT) in smart factories, buildings and cities.

The out-of-the-box device drivers, controls and automation services, intuitive management system and easy to use programming tools enables custom applications development and rapid field deployment expediting insights from data, providing safer operations, and creating greater efficiencies and operational cost savings.
