The funding round was led by Walden International with additional participation from Acorn Pacific Ventures and Walden Riverwood Ventures.

The money will be used to help deliver spiking neural networks to carry out brain-inspired computation. Such biologically-realistic models of neural computing have certain advantages over more simplistic adjustable weight neural networks.

Eta Compute offers Delay Insensitive Asynchronous Logic (DIAL) technology as a first step towards enabling intelligence for embedded systems and devices.
