Software development tool suite supports high-end ARM processors
Stefan Skarin, CEO of IAR Systems, said: “The availability of a single development environment for all ARM cores to provide migration paths is of great importance for customers running multiple projects on different processors.”
ARM Cortex-A8 and Cortex-A9 based devices are typically used where a combination of high performance and low power consumption is required, for example in handheld high-end consumer electronics and advanced medical applications. IAR Embedded Workbench provides developers with tools supporting the development of software applications that meet these requirements. IAR C/C++ Compiler adds software performance by applying many advanced optimizations that fully utilize the processor’s capabilities, while IAR C-SPY Debugger provides the latest power debugging technology from IAR Systems, allowing users to tune applications for minimized power consumption.
Support for ARM Cortex-A8 and Cortex-A9 is included in IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM from version 6.20.
